GasFe technology

GasFe Technology is a company that caters to both domestic and international markets for ammonia cracking units. These units produce a mixture of nitrogen and hydrogen, which is commonly used in heat treatment furnaces. We specialize in offering a range of Ammonia Crackers or Ammonia Cracker Gas Generators, which are easy to operate and require low maintenance. They are widely used in many industries for heat treatment furnaces. The ammonia cracking process takes place on Nickel catalyst at a temperature of 850 degrees Celsius. Around 100 ppm of un-cracked ammonia is present in the cracked gas, and its dew point is (-) 30 degrees Celsius.

Process Description;

Cracking ammonia is an economical way to generate hydrogen gas on-site for industrial purposes. This process requires an electrically heated furnace to maintain a temperature of 850°C. A centrifugal cast retort is installed in the center of the furnace, which is filled with nickel catalyst. With the help of this catalyst, ammonia cracking takes place, separating its vital element into 75% hydrogen and 25% nitrogen gas at a dew point of (-)30°C.

Although nitrogen gas is generally inert, this mixture is still considered as pure hydrogen gas. It is a trusted, tried and dependable source of on-site hydrogen generation for small and large industries. After the ammonia cracking unit, a molecular sieve purifier is used to reduce residual ammonia content and to get very dry gas. This reduces ammonia down to a 1-ppm level and dries gas up to (-)80°C dew point.
